The MINI was wrecked by a young kid who lost control of his car and crossed the center divider and struck the MINI head-on while Steve was driving. The driver's front wheel and tire were torn off in the crash, the tow truck driver wire tied it back in place as seen in the photos. The item in the trunk is the drive shaft from the driver's side....See pictures below.
